Launch of the Curriculum

We are proud to share the launch of the DCHD curriculum — Work Package 3 is now complete and freely available to educators, youth workers, NGOs and the Deaf community across Europe.

The curriculum covers 10 modules across Deaf Culture, Deaf History, Sign Language, Mental Health and Well-being, Deaf Rights and Advocacy, Deaf Role Models, Accessibility Technology, Events and Organisations, Deaf Education, and Deaf Arts. Each module has two sub-modules with editable PowerPoint presentations, ready-to-print PDFs, and worksheets where available.

All materials are translated into five languages: English, Slovak, German, Italian, and Dutch. The full pack contains 100 PowerPoint presentations, 100 PDFs, plus supporting worksheets — open and free to use.

The curriculum builds directly on findings from our European Survey: respondents asked for more visual learning, deeper Deaf Studies content, and accessible materials. We listened, partners worked, and the result is now live.

Educators, youth workers, NGOs, and Deaf community leaders are welcome to use these materials in workshops, classrooms, and training programmes. Pilot training sessions have already taken place in Slovakia, the Netherlands, Austria, and Italy.
