LTTA in Vienna

In January, our project “Deaf Culture, Heritage and Diversity” held its first LTTA (Learning, Teaching, Training Activity) in Vienna. An LTTA is a special training week where participants from different partner countries come together to learn, exchange ideas, and test new educational materials.

We welcomed 15 participants in total — three from each country. The group was a rich mix of young people, youth workers, and Deaf Studies experts. Over the course of three days, they worked together by trying out the draft workshops and even giving them to each other. This way, everyone could experience what it feels like to both learn and teach Deaf Studies content.

The LTTA was a valuable opportunity: participants not only gained new knowledge about Deaf culture, heritage, and diversity, but also became familiar with the materials they will later use in their own countries. Their feedback was extremely important. It gave us concrete suggestions on how to improve the workshops and helped refine the curriculum for the next stage of the project.
